Welcome to Darby Elementary School!

The faculty and staff of Darby Elementary School join me in welcoming you to our school. Our mission is to promote academic and social excellence so that all students can become positive contributors to society. As an educational institution we are committed to the idea that all children can learn and that all children can be successful. This is a challenging task, given that each student is unique in terms of overall abilities, social and physical developmental rates, academic skills, and background.

We feel we have an excellent school with many interesting and challenging programs and classrooms. DES is staffed with extremely well qualified and dedicated professional educators. We have worked hard to create a warm, secure and nurturing environment, that we hope will be evident from the minute you step through our doors.

We cannot do this alone… we need parent involvement and input! We encourage parents to visit and observe our teachers and students. We encourage you to get to know all of us, but most particularly, your child's teacher.
